At our last meeting, our intended guest speaker, Angela, was unable to attend. Notwithstanding it was an interesting meeting, with a special visitor from Thailand, Past President Poonyachai Komonsuwan (Paul!) from the Rotary Club of Bangkorlhaem in District 3350, Bangkok, Thailand. Paul was visiting Sydney where his daughter is currently studying.

Paul was able to give us short talk on the work his club does , and highlighted the use they make of The Rotary Foundation's Global Grants to multiply significantly funds put towards international projects by individual clubs. There is potential to go down this path with the current project being pursued in Uganda.
We also conducted the AGM and elections for 2026/27. Congratulations to:

Step Out, Speak Out …
For your diary - the annual Step Out, Speak Out Walk will be held on Friday 21 November 2025, moving from High Cross Park at the top of Coogee Bay Road, Randwick at 7:30am and finishes about 9am following a BBQ at Coogee Beach.
