At our last meeting we had Milly Hancock, and her dad Jon, attend. Milly, who lives in Randwick, is in Year 11 at St Catherine's College in Waverley. She has been selected to attend the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) next January, at the University of Queensland.
Our Club is pleased to be part sponsoring Milly and we look forward to hearing about her experiences on her return in the New Year.

New member Mark McPherson then gave us a very interesting run down on his life story, starting when he was in nappies, through to school teaching, and as a civilian employee of the Police, both in NSW and China. Mark wrapped up by talking about his current interest as an executive coach and leadership communication expert, where he helps professionals master difficult conversations, deal with difficult people and build high-performing teams.
We concluded the night with dinner and lots of chit-chat downstairs in the Club.
The AGM is coming up …
The Annual General Meeting will be held as part of our normal meeting on 23 October.
At this meeting we will elect the President for 2027/28 and Officers and Directors of the Club for 2026/27. At the AGM last year, Mark Daniels was elected President for 2026/27 and at this meeting we will elect the following:
President-elect for 2027/28
Officers - Secretary and Treasurer
Directors - Club Admin, Community, International, Youth and Relationships.
All members are asked to consider nominating for these positions. Training and support is available for each role. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask any current Board Members.
Step Out, Speak Out …
For your diary - the annual Step Out, Speak Out Walk will be held on Friday 21 November 2025, moving from High Cross Park at the top of Coogee Bay Road, Randwick at 7:30am and finishes about 9am following a BBQ at Coogee Beach.
