Did you know - over the past ten years our Club and its predecessors, Randwick and Botany have raised and donated over $600,000 to worthy causes in our local and international communities!
Our last meeting - 24 June
The guest speaker was Peter Charlton, President of the Waverley Community Men's Shed. It was great to be joined by several members of the Rotary Club of Maroubra.
Peter outlined how the Men’s Shed is a place where members with a range of skills and experiences can come together to nurture their woodworking skills, exchange ideas, discuss their experiences and get involved in community projects.
His major concern is to find a new home for the Waverley Shed, as the current site is under redevelopment. He is looking for a site the size of a tennis court, but has had no luck with Council, local Churches, etc.
Following the formal part of the meeting we adjourned downstairs for dinner.
Note the change of dates - No meeting on 22 July - transferred to 29 July
This night will be very special, with guests from the Blue Dragon Foundation coming along to bring us up to date with the great work that they are doing in Vietnam.

Age is just a number. It’s totally irrelevant unless, of course, you happen to be a bottle of wine.
